John Eye began performing in 1992 when he formed his first band as an extension of his creative process. Essentially he began painting with sound.

Over the years John worked with many talented co-conspirators who helped him master several instruments, and refine his production techniques.

Six recordings released by John Eye under his name, and the band 'one of us', showcase his continually evolving sound and songwriting. Never stagnating, every album draws you in and leaves you hungry for what he will come up with next.

“cannonicus 3.14,” the title of John Eye’s latest c.d., was released in Fall 2010. The beat-driven E.P. spans rock and club genres and includes a traditional Lakota Sioux Sun Dance song. The work is a testament to nearly 20 years of musical evolution and showcases original songs and re-mixes by John Eye and renowned East Coast producers and DJ's.
